This Windows 9 Concept Showcases Metro 2.0
One thing is for sure. When the first images of the so-called Metro 2.0 user interface leak out, they are going to be a sight to behold. Maybe not quite the charm of the original Metro.
But close enough in any case.
And that is because according to the latest hearsay, Microsoft is going all in to create a refined, yet advanced new user interface for Windows 9.
Things may or may not be going according to plan as far as the development process is concerned, and it is not yet clear whether we will get a look at Windows 9 Preview next month. But that is not stopping fans, designers and artists from creating concepts of the Metro 2.0 user interface.
This Windows 9 concept, created by DeviantArt member ngoctuanitpy, shows a revised Start Screen that is low on color, high on transparency. It also shows a slightly different layout.
Power options, for example, are on the left, while the clock is on the right side.
Microsoft, is obviously, rumored to be thinking of replacing the Charms bar in Windows 9, and with this in mind it does make sense to place the clock in a separate section of the right of the screen.
And while I’m all for colors, the glassy sleekness of this concept cannot be denied.
What do you fine folks think?
