Windows 9 Release In The Next Few Days, Says Microsoft France President
More language news today, as the president of Microsoft France actually shared his thoughts on Windows 9 release. Pure, unfiltered thoughts, one can say.
This is very much the first time a Microsoft executive has talked about Windows 9.
And as this report states, the president of the French operations of Microsoft, Alain Crozier, speaking at a press event (that was also streamed online) said that we’ll be releasing Windows 9 in the next few days. We, of course, refers to Microsoft here.
But this is quite likely a reference to the September 30 Microsoft event, at which the company will officially share more details about the future of its flagship platform.
Anyway, this was a bit of a gaffe on Crozier’s part.
And, as expected, Microsoft quickly clarified this in a statement to ZDNet France, where Nicolas Petit, the head of marketing and operations for Microsoft France said that the company will share the future of Windows at the abovementioned San Francisco event later this month.
He also said that this version does not have a name. Yet.
Oh, I do love some ambiguity in my technology!
